What’s preventing employees from becoming shareholders in large firms, or starting their own firms?

Also, if employees are to be equity owners of their organizations, they also will need to be liable for the debts and obligations of that organization. Can’t have just the upside with no downside in the real world.

Agree that fixing the money is the foremost issue at hand. No other economic issues can be properly addressed when the money is broken

Well at the moment the disparity of wealth disallowing most workers from being able to invest in any meaningful way. To your second point I think they should be held to account as owners in order to dissuade bad behavior.

At the same time I don't want it to be forced. I want the world to work like open source software and I realize its a pipe dream.

I just want the greatest good for the most people and I have never known anything other than large corporations pillaging which is why I'm rethinking the position.
