Well at the moment the disparity of wealth disallowing most workers from being able to invest in any meaningful way. To your second point I think they should be held to account as owners in order to dissuade bad behavior.

At the same time I don't want it to be forced. I want the world to work like open source software and I realize its a pipe dream.

I just want the greatest good for the most people and I have never known anything other than large corporations pillaging which is why I'm rethinking the position.
