people who claim they “dont care what people think” and “i say what i want” are publicly admitting to Aspergers with sociopathic tendencies.

Ass burger is the cure.
Enabling false cored emotional constructs is not the way to solve the problems which arise from this condition.
For me, it’s not I don’t care. I just learned nothing good comes from overthinking about what others think of you. You can cause your own suffering always trying to please others.
Of course I want people to like me but sometimes you just have to live your own life. 🤷♂️
Good thing it's just a trend. 🤣🤣
This makes the assumption caring how your words affect others is “over thinking”
But honestly, i think it’s different for each person. Some people really do get crippled over-thinking what others might think. Its good for them to stop doing that and just speak out.
But for others, (like myself) whose natural disposition is to not even think about how words might affect someone, its not overthinking, it’s actually just thinking. Adding a step.
Ah I see.
Yeh there are definitely some people who don’t think about the 2nd or 3rd order effects of their words.
Probably related to narcissistic traits
I dont know if its narcissism per se. I care alot about people. But in different circumstances, i will only think about whether something is true or not, and will just say it.
You would not believe some of the things ive said in different situations 😂. For me the process has been learning how to wait, or add a few more words to not just blow people out. Being married to someone who knows me and laughs at it has helped.
If we're talking about conversations in "meat space", 100% agree with you. It pays dividends to stay away from controversy, politics and whatever one might define as truth being repressed by the zeitgeist. People mostly just want to have a good time, laugh and reaffirm the feeling of connection with each other. That's far more important than making a point.
That said, spaces like these are for expressions of radical thought imo, at least for some people. If it angers you to see it in your timeline, maybe that was the point. To make you feel something, and start to form opinions about things which are important to others.
You are free at any time to change the channel on that.
