China has A LOT of ships & the US has almost no ship building capabilities. They imo are trying to change this

370 vs 290 US. Not that far behind. Counts themselves not as critical as what the ship can do prob. But yeah, good to have capability to build.
US has more destroyers and carriers
But they will age & china is pumping out ships; “for every one oceangoing vessel that we can produce, China can produce 359 in one single year.”
