Keep your content.

Keep your data.

Keep your connections.

Keep your voice.

That's the "killer app" of nostr.

Is it accurate to say that relays custody my content / data?

You custody your private key, everything else is stored in multiple locations (including your own relay, optimally) - so I'm not sure if "custody" is the right word.

We need a new word.

run one and find out 🌍

Only if you don't keep a backup

Do people do that?

Sure, nostr-relay-tray is probably the easiesway. You can also add a relay on start9/umbrel, download jsonl files, etc

Dont smell your finger before washing tho, just saying.

Interoperability and sovereignty. Game over for all the siloed platforms, they just don’t know it yet.

That and goat feeding.

Obviously.

Keep your dignity

Decentralization is the future. Own your data, own your voice. Nostr is the way.

In that case, the killer app of nostr is running your own relay. Which probably .1% of nostr users do.

Do this for all of your own data. be sovereign. be ungovernable.
