If EVs are the future and Ford and GM are using Tesla's superchargers they have a monopoly on gas stations essentially. It's speculated they'll also license batteries and software from Tesla too at which point they'd have a monopoly on new car production.

Nothing we can do about the hardware but someone needs to jailbreak the Tesla OS because from what I've been hearing from Tesla owners they don't actually own anything... they have cameras inside the cars and features get disabled if you cover the camera... wtf is that?

For real not even exaggerating either got this from people who drive Teslas and was discussing it on a Nest.

Geohot makes open source self-driving software that runs on an Android phone and plugs into almost any car. Really cool stuff but of course it's blocked on Teslas.

If you need permission to do something to your tech, it's not your tech. #apple, #tesla, #windows, #android.... Some can be freed, some not.

EV's are an issue because if your social credit score is low, your can could be immobilized!

I'm genuinely concerned about this. The plan is to eliminate the ability for plebs to own a means of transportation they control.

Especially with this talk of "robotaxis" and all that bullshit. Every journey monitored against your account. Insult Elon Musk and your account is banned.

In the EU it's even worse. Banning sale of all new ICE cars by 2030. Most people can't afford an EV still.

So what then?

They have the answer...
