This is what's bugging me about conservatives right now, they want porn sites to have you upload id. >the state can see which sites are sending the requests >more websites have to require it because they have over 18 content >sites that don't have over 18 content get spammed with porn by feds >every website requires ID and the government can see exactly what websites you are using without any kind of warrant or wiretapping, they don't even need the ISPs anymore.
That’s because conservatives are not actually in favor of liberty.
They are in favor of judeo christian values enforced by the state.
Making things even worse, they become personally threatened when you try to explain this to them.
Conservatives create the legal frameworks and precedents later used to oppress them.
This doesn’t seem like a realistic scenario. Also children should have their time on the internet limited, and they shouldn’t be able to access lewd content either, though I also don’t think the government should be involved.
Of course, and that is my point, parents should manage their kids access to the internet. There are apps and services you can use, you could physically restrict access, you could set up WiFi time gating, there are plenty of tools to use, and being lazy is no excuse.
