The silence of traditional media vs rising internet authoritarianism, all in the hope of not spoiling their chances of getting subsidized through big tech taxes, is a huge scandal. They are conflicted to the bone and are the worse source of information on the topic. This debate shows (ironically) that they aren’t an objectively better source of news than what they are purporting to outclass in trustworthiness.
