I was counting some cash yesterday and specifically whenever I do that I think about how weird it is that people go to work everyday, oftentimes to a job they hate, to earn these monetary units of which unlimited amounts can be created by the click of a button by certain entities. Then you see this clip of Christine Lagarde signing this template euro bill, as if this enhances the validity / properties of that money in any way .. and this is not meant as a front to Christine Lagarde. If I were in that position (which I'm glad I ain't) I'd surely do the same. Afterall the fiat monetary system can probably be described as a proof of stake or rather proof of authority system. Thus one might argue that the "handwritten" signature of one of the system's highest authority figures actually validates that money … but once you start thinking more about the nature of money it seems so ridiculously archaic compared to #bitcoin
