Not all V30 enjoyers are shitcoiners but all shitcoiners are V30 enjoyers.

Serious question:

Is there any well-known shitcoiner that is a vicious Knotsi?

Hol'up .. is this the technical core of our current Bitcoin drama?

Luke is the most different of all different breeds lol ..

I like the section about how a turbo-autist, immune to peer pressure might not be the best person for managing an important open-source repo.

But regarding the Knots repo management critique, imo one needs to cut Knots some serious slack, because it was basically irrelevant until a few weeks ago .. must improve over the next 1-2 years though.

Regarding Pieter Wuille's article on the relay policy drama, I find it strange that the slower relay of non-standard blocks is always portrayed as a purely negative outcome that must be prevented at all costs.

When mining is centralized, as it is today, you’re already relying on the miners’ goodwill not to give themselves a head start anyway .. so why pathetically cater to them?

When mining is decentralized, non-standard blocks take longer to propagate through the network, increasing the risk of becoming stale. This, in turn, discourages miners from including transactions that the network does not like, making nodes a much more relevant force in shaping the 'average Bitcoin transaction' than the article of Pieter Wuille portraits it as.

80 IQ plebs to #Bitcoin Core devs be like:

Yesterday, there was a Mercedes 300 SL "Gullwing" on my gym parking lot. Back then, at $6,800 it cost twice as much as a Corvette and many consider it to be the world's first supercar. Only 1,400 of these coupƩs were built from 1954 to 1957. This monster came in with a 215 hp 3.0L inline-6 with fuel injection, which was absolute peak German engineering that put everything else to shame.

Nowadays, these cars trade around 1.5 million dollars, which is a 7.3% CAGR, and I'll get one once #Bitcoin hits parity.

Would it have been better if Satoshi just went ā€œFuck that, we use the patented Schnorr signatures instead of ECDSA .. tf they wanna do? Sue us?ā€

Devs would probably have to be even shadowier super coders in the beginning but it would have been another example of Bitcoin’s power.

Mr. Taleb as confused as per usual when addressing complex issues.

The scientific method should be the go-to way of trying to understand something. However, in a situation of strong politicization of a complex societal issue, such as Covid, climate change, Gaza or Bitcoin, it becomes essential to add Bro-Science to your approach of trying to understand things.

Bro-Science is most powerful when you're part of the analyzed system yourself and its 'test cycles' are relatively short. This allows you to collect many personal data points that the confused & archaic 'The Science ā„¢' people dismiss as anecdotes. Incorporating these data points into your analysis becomes important when your gut tells you that the common narrative's math ain't mathing.

If you used Bro-Science as an additional tool you were able to:

- brutally outperform Taleb by DCAing Bitcoin

- recognize that banning children from kicking around a ball outdoors due to Covid is a net negative

- recognize we understand climate change much less than it's commonly presented as

In contrast, for me, Bro-Science is a relatively weak tool at analyzing the Gaza conflict, as I don't have any personal or friends' experiences of the conflict.

In short:

Trust your gut. Don't disregard your own experiences & thoughts on a complex matter just because someone with a fancy title tells you they ought to be disregarded. That loser weirdo probably can't even bench 100kg anyways (125 kg hip thrust for queens).

Sir, I have a Meanwell 200W 5V PSU to power 3 Bitaxe Gammas. I had them running together for a few months. But recently they show quite different input voltages in the browser GUI ranging from 4.7 to 5.3 V.

Thus, either the highest or lowest voltage Bitaxe crashes after some time depending on how I set PSU output.

Any tips?

Bitcoin drama is hilarious in that normal people couldn’t care less. They see Bitcoiners as a homogenous group of nerds working in unison on their magic internet money.

In reality, though, Bitcoiners try dunking on one another in the absolutely meanest way possible.

Surely, that’s just due to the passion and perceived importance of Bitcoin. I suspect even those tearing each other apart on social media, or those outraged when someone says ā€œweā€ or ā€œcommunityā€, still feel allied with 99% of their 'Bitcoin Drama Enemies'.

I find it reassuring that ASI isn't close, given that the same people claiming "The AI-Antichrist is nigh" are also the ones hyperventilating about how "Tokenizing real-world assets is bigger than the internet".

I’m living a nice and wholesome life

I wake up every morning without setting any alarm and do what I love all day long

But I’m still pissed off that I joined a revolution that never happened

Everything we used to say that would happen with Bitcoin went down the drain

Now it’s a stonk, just an instrument to speculate on in hopes of making more US dollars

It didn’t progress towards becoming a currency that competes with the dollar

It didn’t progress technically to encourage freedom fighters around the world to use it

Outside of making more dollars, there’s nothing that it does that other networks do better

It doesn’t have a killer use case anymore

The user experience sucks compared to fintech

All we have is hope that the ship will eventually turn around

But even the OGs who joined for ideological reasons seem to be selling

So who remains to defend the principles of the early days?

Who will still want to end the Fed when the Fed is making you more US dollars?

I don’t even see my friends around anymore, they either turned into insufferable suits or else they left the space

It’s depressing, really. This is not what many of us signed up for and I feel deceived

I spent nearly a decade promoting Bitcoin as freedom tech, but now the FBI is allegedly happier when their targets use bitcoin instead of cash (as suggested by Peter Thiel)

I feel sorry for some of the people I onboarded, who used custodial Lightning wallets that probably rugged them

I sometimes feel like a fraud who pushed false advertisement

But ultimately, I wish more bitcoiners demanded a change. Anything that lets developers build cool stuff and new use cases.

CTV, CAT, BIP300, I don’t even care at this point. Just push the boundaries, make Bitcoin technologically exciting again.

The bankers might fuck us, the old cypherpunks might sell out, but at least give the rest of us some cool toys to play with.

But no, ā€œthere’s no consensusā€

Fuxking bullshit

Pushing new op_codes because you ā€œdon’t even care at this point ā€ and only want ā€œsome cool toys to play around withā€ is exactly how Bitcoin fails.

Even though I know u think Apple is disintegrating 🄲 afaik still the best thus far

My most controversial Bitcoin opinion:

If you can’t hit a somewhat aesthetic Zyzz pose, you shouldn’t be allowed to open Bitcoin Core pull requests.

The likelihood of you being a hysterical, neurotic, loser weeb is simply too high.

Superintelligent AI girlfriends completely mogging us with their 1 billion IQ and thoroughly tanned ballz šŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļøšŸ™Œ

All these hysterical "The AI superintelligence God is nigh" wannabe nerds need to get a grip .. it's embarrassing.

AI is a very powerful tool & I'm one-shotting nice CSS 3D animations in Cursor as much as the next guy, but when we got 40 year old men hyperventilating on Youtube about how the "AI Antichrist" is about to roll up, while US energy consumption is flatlining since 20 years, it's time to touch grass, sun your ballz & do some heavy bench-pressing .. will help being less hysterical.

There are obvious S tier Bitcoin tweets such as "Running bitcoin" by Hal or "My trust in you is broken" by Nicolas.

But Krugman's legendary CPI tweet excluding food, energy, shelter and used cars is easily A tier material, right?

I'm from Germany and bought it from solomining.de .. but at 50$ it's crazy expensive heat sink. It gets delivered with a 12V fan .. but the Gamma runs on 5V

Don't want to single out nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytndv9kxjm3wdahxcqg5waehxw309ahx7um5wfekzarkvyhxuet5qqsw4v882mfjhq9u63j08kzyhqzqxqc8tgf740p4nxnk9jdv02u37ncdhu7e3 , but I wonder if some people being publicly all nonchalant about spam are mostly scared about taking a stand, showing they care, and thus becoming vulnerable to being made fun of by spammers who understand Bitcoin on a deeper technical level than them.

It's easier showing you care and defending your point about Bitcoin when the opposition are confused Keynesians, that are already incapable of presenting a somewhat logical understanding of economics .. and even less capable of arguing about Bitcoin on a technical level.

But when arguing against spam apologists that understand C++ and Script better than you, likely, they'll dunk on your for some technical error you'll make .. but honestly, who cares about getting dunked on by someone like Udi .. no front .. but that's just some fat dude (that probably still can't bench 225 for reps) scamming retail noobs with JPEGs.

I've never had it happen to me because I'm irrelevant but is it really that scary when a bunch of spam apologists dogpile you for a technical error you made?
