Hmm... I'd say, imagine that you've used twitter for a long time but have become unhappy with their moderation algos etc.. what do you do? Abandon the account, your connections, your history? With nostr you don't have to. Move to a new client, keep your followers and history, continuing interacting with folks who stay on Twitter and they won't even know you've moved clients. Nostr separates content ownership from the front end client.

it also seperates the backend, relays are just one way the content can move, p2p will work fine as well, such is the great design of the protocol
