if you love bitcoin and can't stop thinking or talking about bitcoin, consider this data point:

if we slow down the bitcoin talk I think there is a bigger chance of attracting non-bitcoiners to nostr, and then they will be slowly turned into bitcoiners by proximity and by the quite usage of the lightning tip buttons (again, as long as these tip buttons don't scream on them that they must be already bitcoiners to use nostr).

But that's not going to help adoption.

Hmm... I'd say, imagine that you've used twitter for a long time but have become unhappy with their moderation algos etc.. what do you do? Abandon the account, your connections, your history? With nostr you don't have to. Move to a new client, keep your followers and history, continuing interacting with folks who stay on Twitter and they won't even know you've moved clients. Nostr separates content ownership from the front end client.

it also seperates the backend, relays are just one way the content can move, p2p will work fine as well, such is the great design of the protocol
