Yeah dude, would you say that to the young and old as well?

Hey Granny, I know you're 95 with arthritis, but you have to be battle ready. Here's a 9mm you can't even chamber.

Naw, Granny's a shotgun kind of lady.

I almost said shotgun, but I went with the minimum viable self defense to illustrate the point.

Nope. That’s where you come in. Multi-generational living situations.

Outsourcing your protection in a majority of situations leads to worse outcomes.

In principle I agree, but that's not a comprehensive solution.

Not everyone has you or I around to defend them.

Also, I could be a quadriplegic dictating these notes with my voice for all you know.

So what is a solution? Outsourcing to government? Law enforcement? They are a good response but may not come in time. I mean, we don’t have to look too far back. Uvalde… the cops weren’t bad people, but they didn’t have the same drive to get into that room as they would have for their own blood.

I’m just saying we should be making moves to bring families back together, create communities who rally together.

And if you were a quadriplegic, I’d suggest your family should be making sure you survived every single day.

I agree with you about keeping families together as well. That seems to have fallen apart in the last 100 years primarily.

As I see it, most bitcoiners will probably be living and traveling inside insulated bubbles combining private security and personal security. Possibly within the next 10 years.

The difference between paying a local government to defend your property and paying a local security contractor will get blurry.

Thanks for the well wishes on my hypothetical disability.

Maybe the top 1% will do that. But I highly doubt most will do that. I honestly think most of us are likely to be willing to take our safety and security into our own hands. Which will likely extend to our family. Inviting outsiders in is a very dangerous proposition.

You're probably already in the top 1% if you're here.

I'd like to also imagine a world which is safer for everyone, but I imagine that will take much longer.
