As I am discovering over and over and over... Christians hate truth. They are utterly intolerant of it. Prove me wrong. Please.
Discussion
Do you want to be proven wrong, or to you want your conclusion confirmed?
Humility goes a long way.
A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up strife.
Especially between strangers online! 😉
We both said sort of similar things replying to each other simultaneously. 😂
That's true, but following Christ entails the whole package. We don't get to pick and choose. He did not compromise with Pharisees. He told them the truth that they needed to hear, and for a while it turned them away, but they kept coming at him and building a case against him and in the end they killed him. But Jesus didn't compromise, even to the end. This one is just another Pharisee, morally camouflaged as a Christian. His Christianity is ego only, and he proved it. I engaged in conversation with him specifically because he says in his bio (could be a she, idk) that he's a Christian. That turned out to be a lure and a deception. How forgiving should I be of this? That depends entirely on him. He made his choice by blocking me. That's the third overtly christian nostrich to block me instead of engaging with the material. If you look at the history of the conversation, you'll see that he made an assertion based on his Christian worldview, which I resonated with and tried conversing about, but he didn't want to deal with anything that might threaten his biases (which, IMO nothing I said did, but you can see that's how he reacted).
Or, didn't have time to read it, and then was accused of hypocrisy.
It's on both sides.
Yes, it's the whole package. I agree.
I love the book Leadership and Self Deception... Coming in with a heart at peace changes how we see everything. It's worth getting there.
Well I didn't actually accuse him. I asked to be told that that wasn't the case. Yes, that's what I thought, but I didn't accuse. But now that he responded by blocking, its evident that that was the case.
Why is tldr rude? He’s not wrong that being concise goes a long way. Also this seems like it went from 0 to 100 real quick. Then again not trying to get in the middle of this
Being concise on a nuanced topic only results in misunderstanding. He asked for me to explain, do I did. Responding that he didn't read is then entirely a prideful and hateful response - because he asked for it.
My response then was justified. And he then proved his hypocrisy by blocking me. I could have been wrong, and I did regret my reaction. But he made me right. This is not a case where I like being right.
Like I said I’m not trying to get in the middle of this. Just seemed like everything escalated because of tldr, which doesn’t that bad. Anyways I hope you have a nice day
Its fine, and I respect your not wanting to get in it and telling me your thoughts. I actually did want to be wrong. My reaction isn't only to him - there's a history of Christians being rude (to put it mildly) and my reaction may be mostly to that, rather than only this instance.
In my experience, saying things like a “history of all the x being rude” never solved anything. Observing it is one thing. But when you say it, you antagonize all the people who fall in that x category. Whether they’re rude or not.
Antagonizing people is not my concern. If they feel antagonized, then they needed it. I leave such things to God. My responsibility is to find the truth, speak the truth, and preserve the truth. If that requires offending someone, I will do so without hesitation. Keep in mind that he's the one who refused to engage in the subject matter, spoke hatefully, blocked me, and now speaks with even more hate.
Oh boy I should have stayed out of this 😂
If your goal is to have a dialogue with others, then antagonizing them is going against that. You can’t have a reasonable dialogue with someone and antagonize them at the same time
Did you look at the history? I didn't antagonize him.
I saw the tldr and the escalation. I’ll let you guys deal with this
Its only an escation if he made it an escalation. It was actually an invitation to converse.
This though 👇🏾
When you call out all Christians. That’s antagonizing

Isn't it worse to let someone be an example of unchristian behavior? A non-christian is convinced either for or against Christianity based on our behavior. This dude is actively harming Christianity while pretending to be one. I should be silent while wolves in sheep skin prey on the unsuspecting?
Now look at his current response. I have achieved my goal. All can see his hypocrisy. This is a predator. Christians **_must_** see this and turn away from it.
nah.
it escalated cause tldr name thinks hes entitled to peoples reverence and attention. which is why i muted him. and id do it again just for fun.
cry harder everybody.
unfollow.
wave your hands around in dismay. demand justice.
i just dont care.
🙂❤️
Assumptions. Change your bio, you liar.
I muted this guy a long time ago. His modus operandi is projecting his influencer attitude over others and not engaging in dialectic discussion, pretending to win with authority and unearned superiority.
I muted him because when I tried to rectify him (respectfully), he started witch hunting the people that just want to discuss and not swallow half-truths.
I was surprised to find a year later that he also muted me
He's an influencer? Wow, I guess. I didn't look closely enough to see that. Well... Then I'll call it a point for team-me that he muted me. That's two influencers to mute me! Both unjustified. It reminds of that time a "crypto" influencer on YouTube muted me and deleted my comments because I told people how to do the Fibonacci regression on tradingview, and they wanted to keep people beholden to their content. That was a good moment. It showed me the falseness of that person. The same may be happening again in this bitcoin-ish space.
