I'm not entirely convinced learning to code is better than 'scrolling TikTok', or whatever it is people say.

I'm sort of under the impression Learning To Code is very much an equivalent to pointless scrolling. Pointless coding.

Pygame is cool, calculator apps are cool, plotting data is cool. The fact that you're learning is 🔥

You can learn towards building something specific, or you can just continue exploring for the sake of it. More likely than not you'll latch onto something and start building something you want to exist.

Something that may or may not be an abcnotation engine? Perhaps? Maybe not 🌝

I believe music21 uses lilypad? I'm sure there's some sort of python + abcnotation thing (I'm obviously not the right person to ask).

I actually don't know if I'll ever want to build/code anything. I sort of think it's clutter and pointless.

It's fidget spinning, no one would care if most of it went away.

In fact it might be more beneficial if most of it went away lol
