I've recently picked up a copy of The Well-Trained Mind and hope to start soon.

Any other books I should also check out?

I hope you love the book! It was so good for our family. The intro to that book is what finally convinced my wife that we need to homeschool our kids. Fortunately we read it before the oldest was in kindergarten, but it’s NEVER too late to start!

The Liberal Arts Tradition is also a good book, though it’s a little more philosophical and heady - oh and it’s liberal arts as in classical education, like Greeks and Romans, not liberal arts as in the modern university for a degree in bitterness studies. 🤣

Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning by Douglas Wilson

When Children Love to Learn by Elaine Cooper (you can also dive directly into Charlotte Mason's work, but this book helps consolidate a bit of it).
