We'll be doing something with extending our growing season, but probably not much will help extend for things like tomatoes until we have a heated greenhouse. We're in the high desert, so when our first frost comes it normally comes in with a bang. Last year we got here at the end of October and within a week it went from being in the 40s at night to in the low 20s, so even with plastic it'd kill tomatoes. The plastic definitely will help with more cold tolerant plants though and I have a nice 100ft roll waiting for the fall! We just have to adjust our expectations for this year and by next year we should have more infrastructure setup for food production.

Plus this year is more focused on my husband growing his electrical business in our new home!
