Does anyone read by candlelight?

Probably need at least two candles to do this...?

Seems like people say it may be bad for eye sight.🤔

I don't think it's possible with the flame jumping around.

Candles jump around when they are in a jar. When they are open they tend to burn steady

I have at church sometimes during certain ceremonies. Tends to get messy with wax lol

Are you assuming all candles have the same size flame and illumination? Or are you thinking two are needed for angle?

Bit of both, I think..will give it a go one day

The diameter of the wick determines the size of the flame. With a bright enough flame, you only need one to read by. It's best if the candle is in a corner, or other place away from drafts.

Do you do this regularly, you sound like an expert 👀

I don't read by flame, but I make portable olive oil laterns out of small jars.

One good candle is the proper way

Islam is Fiat.

I don't think this is where you meant to reply 🧐
