It's a double edged sword being Nostr only. You gain in not being part of the machine, but you also massively hurt your own reach and start preaching to choir. We need people doing both. I've been having conversations with some new users and YouTube is the place I hear most often.
i got no problem with it. but i typically will not click youtub links, cause it will make the algo stray from the meticulous training ive done to it (only boats, only small engine repair, only..)
so its really cool when they attempt a nostr upload w no tracking along with their youtub.

That's why I use a non standard YouTube player (pipepipe) on my phone. No adding things to the algo, no tracking.

YouTube can’t be beat. I can’t watch anymore with the damn ads. Unless it’s church, which doesn’t have ads. Even my 3-hour long singing bowl videos I love so much have been tainted with predatory ads.
