Would love if every client would integrate automatic backups of my notes and optionally offer encrypted uploads to a cloud provider of choice.

many ways to do it - depends where the private users are located and how they want to access it. basically like private chat/notes/web relay server

I agree! The need for privacy is real. I have a right to be the only person who is able to read my notes.
