"Today", even in this story, woman is the strongest one. I mean, did you hear her underlying message?
Don't judge historical 'language' based on current standards.
How are women the "strongest" one. She said cry like a woman. As in Men are stronger. Women cry. Men don't.
I don't know the historical context of this story. It was just a random post of a random thought. I didn't put to much thought into it.
