nothing beats making a tailscale account which doesn't even allow email sign up. you have to use Google or Microsoft.

I'm thinking of a solution for phone numbers similar to duckduckgo.com/email service. Proton as well is offering something similar, but DDG browser has native support for regenerating new email address for every email setup.
If there would be a way to OpenSource the ownership of phone numbers or change the system all together in a way that it could be arbitrary sequence of characters.
