Many devs spend all their time talking to other devs, who they then solve problems for.
They take positive feedback from various dev forums as consensus even though devs are a tiny minority of noderunners.
In Sales this is called having “happy ears” - you’re listening to what you want to hear rather than reality. It’s what amateurs do; waste their time selling to people who can’t buy anything, but because the person selling likes the feedback they’re getting, they don’t bother to work out the flaws in their process.
Devs develop for other devs. Sell to other devs. And then wonder why noderunners who have completely different motivations and incentives aren’t interested in their changes.
