That’s why I’m exploring it. We’re pretty good at mobilizing our community. But we need to be sure of it first. I’ve also tried Bluesky, mastodon, and I’ll be trying Zuck’s new thing on Thursday too. We’ll see

I haven't spent nearly as much time on those platforms as I have here, but I'll say that the choice seems obvious. You can build whatever you want here. It's beautiful. You can't say that about anywhere else.

Make an Ordinals focused client. That seems like it would be a dream for the JPEG gang. Right?

the freedom to build isn't the only consideration.

another consideration: how many people can you reach?

our community wants to reach more bitcoiners, and potential bitcoiners. it seems to me you can currently reach WAY more bitcoiners on twitter, and also on instagram etc, than on nostr

so i'm just not sure this is immediately useful for us

Mastodon is cool because it's bridged to Nostr thanks to nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6. Millions of users there who value decentralized technology but are mostly uninitiated with the key management and signing involved in Bitcoin and Nostr.

Bye

any thoughts on threads yet? have u tried it?
