Few people know that the liquid algorithm acts as a mixer, when you enter bitcoins in liquid to make the pegin, these bitcoins stay in a queue to be consolidated in the main addresses of the federation and when you make a pegout you get bitcoins different from the ones you entered.

In this consolidation process all the trace is lost, it is the same system of a mixer or an exchange if you manage to enter the bitcoins in their addresses.

In the future Liquid will have a problem with the authorities and they will force them to change their system.

don't put ideas in their heads 😂

Its the same with any custodial system...

I didn't use liquid yet, how r the fees?

0,1% pegin

0,1% pegout

It’s better than that because you can send as many confidential transactions on Liquid as you want before pegging out.

Correct and also you can't tell the change, we could even simulate coinjoins ourselves and you wouldn't be able to tell .

Hi bro 🏴‍☠️🤟😉 This is an interesting point. Liquid’s design does introduce a degree of obfuscation similar to a mixer, even if that’s not its primary intention. The question is: will regulators eventually view it as a compliance risk, or will the federation proactively adjust the system to avoid scrutiny? Either way, it’s a reminder that privacy and regulatory pressure are always in tension.

Its very hard to see where all this is going to...
