It is expensive and stressful for your body to convert non-carbohydrate sources into the glucose needed for fuel for an extended period of time.

The reason keto and carnivore folks look weathered and bald over time is because long term gluconeogenesis creates an entrenched cortisol state which undermines thyroid (metabolism) and sex hormones.

Depriving your child of natural sugars also deprives them of *hydration*, as insulin signalling at the level of the kidneys is responsible for mineral retention.

It's not rocket science: provide the easy to digest natural sugars your kids need to stay hydrated and hormonally healthy. Do not force them to run their body on stress; use common sense.

eat everything in MODERATION is the absolute key

Wrong. Clown take. Tons of 'foods' you should never consume, and especially not in moderation

1. We consume far too many fats.

2. Almost all of those fats are high PUFA like seed oils instead of the saturated fats our body requires.

3. We don't consume enough natural sugars or get enough sunlight because they have both been successfully demonized.

Eat loads of animal products and natural wild sugars and then shun everything else.

It's all good stuff, yes. I am trying to go outside more and get good sunlight, especially first thing in the morning. I have never worn sunglasses or used sunscreen much. It always seemed wrong to do so.

Body needs carbs so badly that it will make them if you do not provide it. Carnivores will then flex gluconeogenisis like it is some sort of badge of honor. Uh no sir please just go eat an orange and some honey
