Whoever is good at pushups:

I think I donโ€™t really do pushups correctly, mostly because I donโ€™t think my back stays straight, but probably many other flaws.

I want to join the #100pushups gang โ€ฆeventuallyโ€ฆ and have started with a small number of knee pushups a day. This does not satisfy me; I want to do the real thing correctly as I scale up to 100 a day.

Are any of you willing to take 15-45 minutes or so to provide tips and corrections over something like Hivetalk? Looking for someone who will not ridicule my abysmal knowledge of basic exercises, but instead gently help me overcome it.

If so, let me know how many sats you would like for that, if any.

F*cking BASED! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

So back in the day... when I was 21 and doing H2H combat kinda stuff... (๐Ÿคฃ)

I was doing the pushups on the knee thing... To get out of that, I built upper body strength with a variety of weight lifting & the aforementioned fighting arts. (Rather than do the same thing daily)

I think for women, it's focusing on it NOT just being arm strength. You have to build strength in shoulders too. + Core. + back.

Do plank, do the pushups, do weight lifting... and also for ladies, take advantage of those final days of your monthly cycle to SHRED and build muscle. Use that little testosterone boost we get from mother nature ๐Ÿ˜‰

I suggest listen to your body. What feels right. I like how this guy explains the components of a push up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkU6Ok44_CI

My physical therapist also says start by using an incline and also breath out while pushing up. Exhaling engages your inner core muscles.
