The Schelling point parts are compelling (kinetic stalemate due to nukes), but convincing the power that has the most to lose (esp. defense contractors) to drastically change its MO seems like a pipe dream.

Overall, I'm glad we have a few people responsible for protecting our borders (our theoretical combined property) thinking about this stuff. If we must have taxes, I'd like them to be used in a manner that the average honest Joe can benefit from.
