Most average people know that free wifi w portals have accept tos. I've never seen one ever pop up a google login. I think the average person wpuld know this is a trap because a free wifi will never pop up a google login on connect. Also most portal screens you can hold your finger at the top by the display name & it auto copies the url that is being hidden there.

Yeah you'd type www.google.com and there malicious DNS would redirect to their clone
When the portal opens it automatically goes to their url so you just copy it. When you paste you would see https://phishylink.stinks
