Both! Multivendor multisig ftw.
No need for multivendor with a DIY seedsigner as it's stateless, there's almost no attack vector. You can create a multisig wallet with one seedsigner.

Thats true; I'm also a seedsigner maximalist. Call me paranoid, but when working with multisigs I like to have another stateless signer - running on a completely different software and hardware stack - to verify everything is working at it should.
My coldcard mk3’s only use case is being my seedsigners bitch
Yep, good point.
For me however, I already own most types of wallet, so multivendor multisig is easy.
I want to learn by using and they are basically the same.
I like the current direction of wallets with a screen + camera to allow air gapped QR data exchange. Seems an obvious direction to me.
SeedSigner, however, you have to build yourself and I've done that plenty of times in the past and I'm getting a bit lazy now.
Jade requires Blockstream for functions like blind oracle to function (although their is a self hosted blind oracle option).
I'll probably end up getting both anyway 😂
Nice one!
I have a large collection of hardware signers, and lists of random bip39 words scattered around; it would severely waste the time of a determined evil maid 😆
Seedsigner all the way. You don’t need your signer to come in a pretty box from a company
Seedsigner is great, no bs, provides just what you need, clean ui.
They're similar, but the Jade Plus has a few more features, and it runs on batteries as opposed to the SeedSigner which has to be plugged in. If you're asking which one is better, I'd say the Jade Plus, but if you're asking which one is best for you, I'd have to know more about your criteria. Generally speaking, the original Jade is much more like the SeedSigner than the Jade Plus.
Does anyone think you could use a bitaxe on the go ? Ie; hooking it up to an inverter whilst driving using a phone hotspot? If it would work it would essentially be free to run with an unlimited data SIM.
It is technically possible as far as I know.
It doesn't require a lot of data, so even a modest mobile contract would be fine.
I use seedsigner. But if they didn't exist I'd use Jade plus. It looks good.
