I wonder if, outside of our little ecochamber, if this is true. I don't see any meaningful % of the population caring about either decentralization or loving freedom.
It seems like we are more and more OK with handing over our power and rights to people who are temporarily aligned with our beliefs that will inevitably disappoint as power corrupts all.
The mag 7 are stronger than ever and have centralized an unprecedented enormous amount of data, wealth, and power.
Billions of humans walk around with a closed source iPhone or Android spy device in their pocket (even when open source mobile OS alternatives like nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpq235tem4hfn34edqh8hxfja9amty73998f0eagnuu4zm423s9e8ks3f750r exist). Billions use Windows and Mac spyware computers. Hundreds of millions more use Alexas, iWatches, smartTVs, and other such bullshit for minor 'conveniences' despite the fact that they give up so much personal data to these already infinitely powerful corporations.
It is wonderful to preach the good word and try to onboard more people to nostr, bitcoin, and other open source alternatives but lets not be delusional and think there is any meaningful adoption of these technologies... yet.
