Just had a call with my dad back home and was explaining the superior monetary properties of #bitcoin. He asked me, “but what happens if someone decides to allow more than 21mil Bitcoin” and I got to explain to him the awesomeness of consensus and mining difficulty, the asymmetry of mining vs validity etc.

He was quite impressed. It helps that he’s an engineer (not the software kind, though).

I continued to explain about the #lightningnetwork and the ability to do transactions off chain at higher speed and lower quantities, and mentioned applications around streaming and #nostr. He was intrigued. Love it. We will make a Bitcoiner of him one day!
