Can you be more specific? Which cuts are going to lead to loss of life and if you’re able to identify them do they outweigh the fraud, waste and abuse that is also being eliminated?

And cuts to social security and Medicaid, if enacted as musk wants, will.

I personally feel cuts and waste can and SHOULD be made. But there should be a plan, not just overnight cuts that Elon then reinstates because they were a mistake? It’s horribly mismanaged. I think Washington has a huge spending problem. I do think the federal government should be smaller and there’s lots to be cut, FOR SURE. Including many jobs.

By why only to entitlements, while the defense budget grows? Where’s doge there?

Yea that’s fair. I’d be a whole lot more team Doge if we had cut Israel off from the aid train. Medicaid cuts will have impacts and not just political ones to your point. That said, they’re also dealing with the math problem that ends in insolvency so I can’t respect that if they’re truly trying to solve that problem they’re going to break some things along the way.

I really don't want to rush into this conversation, but I just read that article and it suggests that not having HIV medication for one month caused these children referenced in the article to die. That seems awfully fast to progress from managed HIV to AIDS and die in a month. And I'm not really contesting your point knowing that the disease does kill children quickly, I know, but this stood out to me.
