Honestly I think it Will be plenty sweet with just heavy cream. Before putting it in a pie crust, I did a test batch and used just a little 2%milk because I didn’t know the whipping cream would get so thick and everyone loved it. I will certainly skip the store bought and try making my one next time

I agree that it's fine without it, but most people do not, they like things much sweeter than I do.
