If I publish my annual node syncing tests on Christmas Eve, will anyone read them? 🤔
Discussion
I will if I see it
I remember the ones you did for bitcoin and shitcoins and all the technical mishaps and showstoppers for the shitcoins. Is this what you were referring to?
You know whatd me nice? An f'in tutorial and getting my lightning node back onto a new node after old one crapped out. Copied entire lnd folder to new node and used previous seed. Itd be nice if i still had access to my millions of sats or some validation that maybe i did lose them perhaps via force closes. But i have no idea and just technically dejected as day-to-day life takes over
Be* nice
Yes!
I featured your test in Bitcoin Development Philosophy in the section about "inward scaling":
I promise to
Yes.
Probably
Yes. Afterwards.
So when I'm doing a reindex on x64 workstation 32gb ddr3 ram, 2tb sata ssd, i7 3.5ghz and dbcache=12000. I don't seem to really see any resource maxed out and I'm trying to figure out the bottleneck... I think this is during the block indexing before the signature verification. Could the ram IOPS be the bottleneck?
Will you do assume utxo as well? I have a draft PR with a mainnet snapshot.
That wouldn't be very fair since no other client supports it 😆
Just did. Between courses and with kids around. 🤣
Thanks for your consistent effort.
