Elvis+country night with friends is +++. Currently playing early Waylon. Anne Murray, Tom T. Hall, and the likes are in high Demand. Fucking legends.

Probably the best piece of software ever to come out of Microsoft. Great game!

> They are not public records.

Because they don't have that information. When you sell btc, you tell them how many you sold, at what price you sold, and what your gain was. You don't have to report holdings at any point.

Bitcoin is already, by far, the best privacy coin.

What is left now is to teach the history of how we got here - recognizing pioneers like Wasabi and Samurai - and learn from it.

Even more importantly - spread the knowledge on how to use the right tools: eCash, Boltz swaps, RoboSats, solid wallets like AquaBitcoin & BullBitcoin, and merchant platforms such as nostr:nprofile1qqs22d4tralncqfnh2kmmarjkxk8449hwnk5xtqe3y5yry6hy7ytegqpzemhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejz7qgcwaehxw309ahx7um5wghxvmt59emkj73wvf5h5tcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsymkvl9.

It's critical that most Bitcoin stays no-KYC. Anything less than a supermajority pushes us toward a dystopian future - one already previewed in Sweden, where anyone can legally look up your home address and Bitcoin holdings in a public, government-mandated registry. I don't think anyone sane wants to live in the chaos of that type of world.

Swede here. You can't look up people's btc holdings in Sweden. They are not public records. You can, however lookup people's reported capital gains. But I don't think you can see how those gains were made.

The second best thing about it is the name! It's super spot-on. Stay safe, kids!

Ok thanks. Have you been running NWC from Zeus to LNbits successfully?

Oh and NWC works fine from nostr:nprofile1qqs24yz8xftq8kkdf7q5yzf4v7tn2ek78v0zp2y427mj3sa7f34ggjcpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj703s8dt to the same LNbits server.

I run mail-in-a-box, which includes a DNS server. Highly recommend! I run it on a VPS at nostr:nprofile1qqszvsw9qc8yamyzpz0akty7hpr3ges0mhmuywsp6ucnz9ypnqlszagpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0d4hhxarj9ecxjmnt9uq3zamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd3skuep0qythwumn8ghj77rdwgh82um9dehhxarj9ehhyee0fmcfpl , paid for using lightning. I think this vaguely fits your description.

It seems zeus unsubscribes, why is that? Can I get logs from zeus to see its side of the quarrel. Or do you have any other hints?

Haha, good luck with that. I smoked since I was 13, but quit at 21. Kept smoking a bit at parties. No chance of getting hooked again since cigarettes are so disgusting.

Pipe is best though. It can even be tasty, and you appear more masculine.

I think the notion that the blockchain is Bitcoin's database is wrong.

* the UTXO set is the database

* the blocks take the database from one consistent state to the next.

* the blocks are needed only by newly started nodes to recreate the database.

In this context,

* OP_RETURN is not bloating the database as it never enters it.

* Encoding data in non-OP_RETURN outputs does bloat the database.

Switching what you call "the database" doesn't change the problem with bloat, but maybe the perspective changes a little bit.

How do people manage their relay list(s)?

I find myself unwillingly replacing my published relay list when trying out new nostr apps. Ex: I normally use Amethyst, but tested YakiHonne and edited its default relay list (added my outbox relay). This caused Amethyst to start using the yakihonne default list.

Should I stop publishing my relay list, or maybe only publish the "greatest common list"? Is there wide support for that?

Lots of Qs, but I'm confused.

Boom!

If I get zapped 1000 sats on this note I'll respond with a tasteful semi-nude of me with the t-shirt. Yes, I'm that cheap.

Who sold the t-shirts at Nostrville 2..0? I have a failed lightning invoice for it. I want to make them whole.

Most Bitcoin wallets suffer from the same design flaw: Showning the balance in big fat digits on the main screen.

Blur it, hide it behind a button, or whatever. Just don't write it right onto everyone's face.

What wallets can hide it? I know nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 can.
