Sir, that spirit is alive and well. Maybe you haven't read the Nunchuk response to the Ontario government when demanding the names and freezing the accounts of those securing donations for the truckers πŸ˜„

Don't mistake the fact that there are huge amounts of normies who don't care, with the idea that the defiant cypherpunks aren't here anymore. They are more numerous and more empowered than ever, imo.

In addition, have you ever heard of Nostr? 😘

That was such an epic answer… 🀣

btw pater, tell me moar about noster?

Nostr was good before all the corporate influencers and bad devs walked in

Also, plenty scammers that DM me about my trades

Bullish on #Nostr πŸš€ β›οΈπŸŽ―πŸ«‚

i know i know, but the internet is undeniably different, lots of communities are lost/disappeared, some migrated to more hidden pastures. i know that I sound like an old man angry at the new generation but there was magic in the early days of internet and hacker communities who later somehow turned into leftist wokepit

i hope we manage to replicate the forum experience on nostr (there is lots of communities efforts but the question is if there is lots of interest in communities like that in the population anymore?)

i've seen more communities die that i'd like to remember, or at best turn into therapy outlet for 5 autists who went their frustrations there.

i've seen the nunchunk response and i welcome it, i've recently been on a 2h rant over dinner at the lightning summit about the fact that we're clearly not pushing the boundaries enough since very few people went to jail or were shut down.

At nostr:nprofile1qythwumn8ghj7ct5d3shxtnwdaehgu3wd3skuep0qyt8wumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgtcqyzpanxdpfp39c0fthqv67vrycrm2ztta4z8k3vkxjgsl8f6xzuw3jddlvze SEC01 we came up with "if you build it right you won't go to jail" but the other side of it is - are we even trying if they are not hunting us down.

Laws of physics are the only law we should be following, and even that we should try to break frequently.
