This needs to piggyback with Holepunch & Keet really bad. Could be a great way to bridge to file sharing, group chats, resource sharing, & video feeds.
I was initially very bullish on them, but both projects seem to be languishing. Have I missed anything?
I keep waiting for projects other than Keet to pop up, but I haven’t really heard anything. I’d like more concrete examples of how to use Holepunch for different use cases.
Agreed. Number of 3rd-party builders is a key metric for me. Hoping they pull it off. We need it.
Not yet, but there are a few major things that will change that in the coming months. I am kinda sad that a development community hasn’t sparked to explore it like around Nostr. Hard to say why that is exactly. But I think the potential remains huge and the mobile engine has improved a ton. After it gets fully cleaned up, they release a file transfer app, and Pear Credit drops, things could change quickly.
I’m not counting them out yet at all. Still trying to build a project or two around slashtags and Holepunch.
