Ok, usually it means stick to your area of expertise, but I don't think the treatment of parents of obese kids is anyone's private purview.

Generally the phrase is used as a lazy way to shutdown unwanted opinions. It is an appeal to an unknown authority. I'd rather see a good argument refuting the idea. "Not your business" is a decent start.

This assumes all kids have the same genetics. That kid looks tired, the parents should make bedtime earlier. They’re bad parents cause they let their kids stay up. It’s silly. Stay out of other people’s business. If they’re trying to be good parents but aren’t doing great who are you to tell them how to do it. Fuck off.

All kids will lose weight if they consume fewer calories than they burn regardless of genetics.
