nostr:npub1235tem4hfn34edqh8hxfja9amty73998f0eagnuu4zm423s9e8ksdg0ht5, I’ve got a newly minted Graphene OS loaded phone. What are some best newbie steps to take to fully enjoying the phone setup?

Well I'm a freak so I go airplane mode and connect to public wifi, download obtainium, load mullvad vpn, set up vpn on device, download:

mullvad

tor

amber

amethyst

Simplex

If you can get by without mainstream apps, that's great, but we don't expect people to suddenly go cold turkey from them or to ever fully avoid using them.

Nothing wrong with sandboxed Google Play in the main user, but Private Space is a nice feature.

Awesome, I’ll look into that. Ultimately, I’m looking at using it as a semi-private phone. Just something more secure and private than standard Android.
