If clients know you have a local relay and a relay has implemented the "only event IDs" query, then the client could just pull all of the IDs from the remote relay, compare to the local one, and each other, and then only pull one copy of the events that are missing, right?

Wouldn't that cut down on bandwidth, with only a minimal delay? #OnlyDeltas

Or am I missing something obvious?

I have the same #noobquestion :Check:

thats what negentropy does

Ah, okay.

Let's all do that, then.

its even in a nip 😁

i think notedeck is doing it.. amethyst has vibe code for it that is disabled.. may be others.

i cant wait to get my linux vm on the phone working, gonna be soh nice for running crazy nostr appz in there

Which NIP?

search for negentropy in the nips

Cloudfodder all "Google it, bro."

There's no NIP, tho, just more perpetual PRs.

Still no NIP for curated publications, either, even tho there are 3.5 implementations and we keep adding more. 🙄
