Just found a random coffee post to hijack
GM tho!
I been boiling lake water and it seems to make the coffee better than with RO water.
Any thoughts?

Yeah. Soft water kinda sucks for just about everything. Lake water still contains minerals that give it body & texture. The minerals provide structure, giving the compounds & flavonoids in coffee something to bind to in the water.☕️
In my day job, I work with breweries. Most of them use R/O to strip the water down completely, then add back a specific mineral profile as the foundation for their beer. ☕️
