Gym thought:

What if the US gov just claims the NSA invented Bitcoin and that they control Satoshi’s coins.

Complete “trust me bro” situation, similar to the gold in Fort Knox.

Then if the coins ever move they can say they were stolen from them and go after them with force.

Not at all saying I would want this but seems like a play they could actually make.

They would at base level have to own the keys if they invented bitcoin. So for me it’s a nah. Would be the NSA behaving like Craig Wright with even less association to the tech.

No I’m saying they wouldn’t have the key, just claim that they do then punish anyone else who moves the coins saying that they stole them

I'll believe that when they win a war other than their own civil war.
