If you’re new and not sure how to set up lighting tips on your profile, you need Lighting Address or a LNURL, not a lightning invoice. Here’s the difference:
1) Lightning Address looks like an email address. For example, mine is corndalorian@ln.tips.
2) LNURL is a reusable code others can use to send you sats. You’ll recognize it because it begins with the letters “lnurl…” followed by a long string of characters.
3) Lightning invoices begin with “lnbc…” and are one time use ONLY. They also have an expiration. Don’t put these in your profile settings.

Not a dumb question at all! Yes you can send sats from Alby to anyone on any Nostr client as long as they have their own wallet linked to receive it. If you click their tip button and nothing happens then they probably don’t have it configured correctly on their end.
