That's not an unpopular opinion at all. The unpopular one is the opposite.
They are extremely cool. I just worry about they chemicals they hold exploding
At the end of the day they are an EV and I’ll never buy an EV that can limit my freedom of movement.
How does an EV limit your freedom of movement?
Even in a global epocolypse, I'd rather be off-grid with wind/solar that can charge the car indefinitely.
You can charge it with coal, wind, solar, gasoline, nuclear.... with an ICE car, you only have one option for energy.... and that option relies on global supply chains.
EV is cheaper to operate and more fun to drive. And it increases my freedom of movement.
I like physical controls. Not really interested in driving an iPad.
Why is this unpopular? Because it's better to stack Sats instead?
Cons:
-Distance anxiety.
-No parts available to repair the car.
-My mecanic can't fix it either.
-Electricity for recharging is controlled by a government monopoly in my jurisdiction.
-Ugly. Designed for wokes, not for real man.
-In addition to all being ugly, they all have model names with numbers instead of a simple word.
PS:
-Toyota should bring back the naturally aspirated V6 and V8.
-Dodge should keep the V8 Hemi. Nobody want a EV Charger with loudspeakers that reproduce an engine sound.

Not in 2024. There are Superchargers EVERYWHERE, even super rural areas in America. I've road tripped mine across the U.S. multiple times and never had range anxiety. You ever worried about running out of gas in a car? Same damn thing.

Sure, but there are 100x less moving parts. The tech is more simple and streamlined. 120k Miles on mine, and never needed anything done, except new tires. Don't even have to replace break pads cuz of regenerative breaking.

Holy shit dude, have you looked into the global supply chain for oil???! Have you seen how much the oil companies get gov subsidies, or looked at how much they lobby in DC? Not to mention, the damn petro-dollar itself!! Oil is Fiat, literally!!!
