“Let’s be Honest ESG Investing will Harm the Environment” - some Yale expert

When the big bankers want proof to show the public why they’ve changed they’re mind, they hire the elite institutions to publish a couple papers to “back-up” the shift in narrative. This one here is capitulation on ESG.

Offloading bad externalities to appear green but become dirtier in reality. That’s how we virtue signal in the US and Europe.

Someone explain to me how this makes any sense.

In my opinion it’s another rebranded scam like the fracking business but what do I know 🤷‍♂️

Yup.

Weird. So you’re telling me that big issues have nuance? 🤔

I learned from Germany that ESG means turning off your nuclear plants to burn more coal, and sending your factories and jobs to China.

This reminds me a certain article I wrote LY. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out ESG doesn’t deliver any meaningful impact. ESG on a fiat standard is like trying to lose weight while eating at burger kings 3 times a day.

Philip Morrison has a better ESG rating than Tesla 🙃

Thank God if they are coming to their senses...

It’s all just so tiresome. A cycle of anti humanism, as old as we’ve allowed non productive people to make the rules. Something fixes this

단물 다 빨아먹힌 ESG🥲 바로 갖다버리쥬?

Even blackrock is abandoning ESG

The focus is almost entirely on the E of ESG; never mind the S&G.

Oil and gas companies that keep us alive are shunned out of ESG indices (because they’re bad for the E). Curious about why Meta, Snap, and other companies that profit from getting teens addicted to dopamine are included in these indices. How does that business model fit into “S”?
