Itβs tough for sure and quite frankly a never ending journey. Eventually something clicks and you start getting the βah ha!β moments. Stick with it, and pray on it!
Finished Romans today. There are some absolute gems in this one.
Romans 5
Romans 8
The part about obeying the government was a miss, but my guess is that its a miss in translation. Overall would recommend.
Here is some additional context on that verse, Romans 13:

wow there is a ton of resources on that page.
This will take me a while to digest but the bottom has a pretty good bulleted summary of the hot takes.

I think the government was less systematically evil back then. Like at the end of the day they still wanted most of their citizens to live and have children and what not.
I am still watching this documentary and it's absolutely insane the evil within the highest level of government these days.
Finished Ephesians.
Short and sweet. Some very quotable verses and warrior mentality.
What version? I want to read it, too.
I feel like KJV would be difficult to follow. Could be wrong.
I am using this app called You Version. It is definitely not perfect, but it has awesome bookmarks and note taking and reads it aloud.
I assume there's probably a "better" version of the Bible, but for me it's about getting off zero and just start reading.
I have a feeling life will lead me to read the books many times and different versions.
I'm using the Bible App by YouVersion.com. Download it now for your mobile device.
Oh cool, thank you

I recommend the Bible app Catena - It has commentaries from various church fathers throughout the last 2000 years, very insightful. Also allows you to create bookmark folders to bookmark both verses and commentaries.
