Don't buy one if you're just starting out in Bitcoin.
If you need a cheap solution to your multivendor multisig or as a backup HWW...fine.

I would submit the worst device would actually be any ledger device with its special "feature" of off device seed storage

I have to disagree here for new users.
They can just never download the ledger live app or update the firmware and they'll have a better experience actually learning what they're doing.
Ledger works with specter/sparrow fantastically.
I do not promote either one for a new user TBH.
Trezor takes a big dump on ledger & blockstream at every single level including UX.
The reason I compare these three is because I don't see much of a difference between Bluetooth and USB connectivity from a security standpoint.
