My little sister had her first day in middle school last week.

I was home and saw how enthusiastic and happy she was to start. She was excited to play in the school orchestra be active in the school committee for her class and was waking up happy to go learn.

Today I called back home and the situation changed 180 degrees.

She hates school now.

The teachers told her pretty harsh that she’s not good enough yet to play in the orchestra (she’s 10) and didn’t get voted into the committee…

This is crazy and makes me furious.. teachers have such a big responsibility and most of them don’t give a fuck on how to communicate with little children. I start seeing more and more flaws after being homeschoolpilled… this is just so much worse since me and my family feel so powerless…

Any advice?

(Homeschooling is not an option where she lives)

Sometimes you have to seek opportunities outside the school. I find the community is full of people who want to work with a mentor kids. The school walls are arbitrary.

Case to prove your point, we homeschool our kids but there were areas needing supplementing. So in our community we found an amazing children’s choir (many different choirs actually with different age groups) run by a lady who was masterful at her giftedness. The choirs became quite a thing with her reputation. The performances were layered with all the kids together singing. It was memorable.

All that to encourage her, and you. There are things out there to bless you that you don’t know about yet. Grace and peace
