“Cognitive dissonance is the mental discomfort that results from holding two conflicting beliefs, values, or attitudes.”

This COULD relate to why reading that book was “hard for you” or why “there was some sort of mental block” for Jeff. It is DEFINITIVELY why I struggle/d with these concepts too.

We seem to have a hard time learning about something that feels more logical although it goes against what we’re all taught and thus believe so it’s hard to have these beliefs clash and have to be humble enough to admit that having these conflicting belief systems is discomforting for anyone else… including ourselves.

Not an attack… just a reflection.
